Almelund Threshing Show

Jeff wanted to go to the Almelund Threshing Show so Teddy and I went there. I've only been to a couple Threshing Bee's but this one was pretty cool; with lots of old machinery, a parade and a Steam Powered Sawmill. Before we left for the Show; Teddy put a really cool skid plate on my trailer.
I also took some cool pics of his planes.
The Threshing Show was cool if you like old machinery and could take all the exhaust.
I also liked the Chicks on Tractors
And the cute Family machines. So I add the cute family machine I saw at work at Jeff's house the morning after I got back.
No pollution and nothing but cuteness.

10 Broken Spokes.

After a precious shower and my first night in a real bed I took off with Teddy who rode with me 20 miles.
I continued on to Webster with threat of rain and when I got there and found a nice County Fair Grounds and a Pavilion the rain started in earnest. This is my camp for the night and thank God I found it. It rained all night and I would estimate 3" came down.
When I woke to clear weather and after I explored Webster I pulled back into the pavilion and heard a tinkling sound. Inspecting my back wheel; I discovered 10 broken spokes. This picture is of my first episode with broken spokes in Buffalo City with 4 broken spokes. It is a lot of work to unload, turn the bike upside down, get the wheel off, fix the spokes, adjust the spokes, put the wheel back on, turn it back up and load all the stuff and batteries back on.
Here's the broken spokes. I only had 7 to replace them so it was back to Teddy's house.
Which was cool.

I tried to go to Duluth.

When I got back from my last ride to La Crosse and back I had an idea I wanted to go to Duluth. Jeff rode with me me as far as his friend Teddies; 50 miles away. We had a little trouble on the way with a broken hitch on my trailer but a kind gentleman welded it and wouldn't take anything for it. Teddy met us on the Gandy Dancer Trail. I knew instantly I liked him; just by his looks. He fed us fresh sweet corn and entertained us with stories.
He also let me stay and I got my first real bed of the trip. Teddy rides an ebike and he has about every kind of Transport and alternative transport and fuel.
